Warehouse Assistant (6-month Contract)

TPL Lighting is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our team for a six month contract and assist our Warehouse Manager with the daily shipping & receiving duties and general labour. Hours would be Monday through Thursday, from 10am until 4pm.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will be an integral part of TPL’s customer service team, balancing shipping and receiving duties and assisting with the smooth flow of all warehouse activities.

  • Receive, inspect and account for all incoming shipments, reporting any damages or missing items upon receipt of goods.
  • Prepare and ship out all outgoing shipments; coordinating delivery with client or contact at destination.
  • Assist in the organization and records of all inventory in the warehouse.
  • Work as a contributing team member, establishing good relations within the company, vendors & customers; with an emphasis on morale, teamwork, and a good attitude, to carry out the position in a professional manner.


  • ​Experience in a warehouse or logistics role is an asset.
  • Resourceful, flexible, reliable and hardworking.
  • Proficient with using both PC and MAC computers.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to self manage and work within deadlines, with a high level of emphasis placed on accuracy and attention to detail.
