TPL Lighting Welcomes Renowned French Architect and Designer Odile Decq to Canada

Award-winning French architect, designer and academic to deliver her talk “Architecture Thinking” at TPL Lighting in collaboration with Italian lighting manufacturer Luceplan

TORONTO, ON — Architects, designers and engineers in Toronto will have a tremendous opportunity to hear from a global architecture and design pioneer firsthand. Visiting Canada on the occasion of receiving a 2018 Honorary Fellowship from the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC), Odile Decq has accepted an invitation from TPL Lighting and Luceplan to deliver her talk “Architecture Thinking” on Wednesday May 30th at the offices of TPL Lighting, the leading commercial lighting agency in Toronto.

During the talk, Odile Decq will narrate her vision of architecture and the genesis of her projects, from urban complexes to individual design products, with a special focus on her creations in collaboration with Luceplan. The winner of many prizes and honours – most recently the Architizer Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017 and the Jane Drew Prize in 2016 – Odile Decq is an extraordinary exponent of contemporary architecture and design, whose versatility and creativity are clearly evident in all her works: a complete universe, from urban planning to architecture, product design to art.
