Tusch Seating Takes Residence at The Adelaide Project by TPL Lighting
A European furniture collection creates a layered setting for experiencing architectural lighting, textiles, art and flooring in context
Tusch Seating has taken over The Adelaide Project by TPL for a residency running through November 2026. The Canadian company brings more than three decades of experience curating European furniture for hospitality, workplace, retail and residential environments, introducing a distinct furniture language to the working studio.
The residency brings together Tusch with Gabriel Fabrics, whose textiles add colour, texture and performance; Mohawk, whose flooring helps define individual environments; and Arterial Gallery, which curates Canadian artwork throughout the house. Together, they create layered interiors that demonstrate how furniture, materials, artwork and lighting work as a cohesive whole.
For the residency, TPL has introduced lighting from Luciole, Bover, Absolux and Flos, adding to the architectural and decorative solutions already installed throughout the studio. Experienced alongside Tusch’s furniture, textiles, flooring and artwork, the lighting reveals how fixtures influence the perception of colour, texture, form and atmosphere.
This approach reflects the purpose of The Adelaide Project: to give designers and specifiers the opportunity to experience lighting within fully realized environments. Rather than evaluating fixtures in isolation, visitors can see how they perform as part of a broader interior composition and compare different approaches to illumination, materiality and atmosphere.
Created by TPL as a working studio for the design community, The Adelaide Project evolves through changing residencies and collaborations, offering fresh combinations of products, materials and ideas.
