TPL Lighting is looking for a rare kind of sales professional. Someone who knows how to open doors, build trust, influence the spec, and drive a project forward from early conversation to close.
This is not an order-taking role. It is for someone who is commercially sharp, relationship-driven, proactive, and energized by the chase. Someone who understands that great sales results come from getting in early, asking better questions, staying close to the opportunity, and quarterbacking the process all the way through.
We are looking for a person who can combine business development, specification influence, and disciplined follow-up into real market impact.
Build and grow relationships with lighting designers, architects, interior designers, engineers, contractors, and other key influencers
Identify project opportunities early and turn conversations into active pursuits
Help shape specifications and position the right lighting solutions for the application
Lead the sales process from initial outreach through quote activity, follow-up, award, and close
Coordinate with internal quotations, project, and support teams to keep opportunities moving
Stay highly organized across multiple projects, relationships, and timelines
Represent TPL Lighting and our manufacturer partners with professionalism, credibility, and energy
Maintain awareness of market activity, key projects, competitive movement, and growth opportunities
A strong relationship builder who is also confident asking for the business
A proactive salesperson who creates opportunities instead of waiting for them
Someone who is comfortable in specification-driven, project-based selling
Strong commercial instinct and sound judgment around where to spend time
High personal accountability and disciplined follow-up habits
The ability to manage moving parts and keep momentum across a long sales cycle
Confidence working with both external clients and internal teams
A growth mindset, curiosity, ambition, and a genuine appetite to win
Strong candidates may come from lighting, architectural products, electrical, interiors, design, construction, or other specification-driven sales environments.
Lighting experience is valuable, but we are equally interested in people with the right sales instincts, market presence, and drive to grow.
