TPL Lighting Expands Its Controls Division by Welcoming Crestron and Randy Seaton

TORONTO, ON — It is with great pleasure that we welcome Randy Seaton to the TPL family as Controls Specification Representative. Randy has spent the past 7 years with Eaton Cooper Controls/Fifth Light Technologies filling many roles from Technical Support Representative to After Market Service. Randy’s vast knowledge in lighting controls systems from design, deployments and project management will make him a great addition to our team.

Randy marks an exciting expansion of our team, as effective August 2, 2018, TPL Lighting will be the new agent for Crestron Electronics, Inc. representing their Commercial Lighting Solutions in the GTA.

Crestron is the world's leading innovator and manufacturer of advanced control and automation systems for the office, campus and home; reinventing the way people live and work. Crestron simplifies design, installation and startup of commercial lighting control with the right products and systems designed to work for the individual needs of each space in a building and integrate easily together for enterprise-wide monitoring, management and control. Their process dramatically reduces the time required to complete each phase of a lighting control project while greatly improving efficiency and scalability.

Lighting is a very important aspect for any design project, instrumental in creating the desired architectural and aesthetic effects. It shapes our experience of a space and, when done well, provides a comfortable visual experience for the occupants while performing a variety of tasks within that space. For a variety of reasons such as evolving code requirements, growing numbers of multi-use spaces, etc. static lighting design is declining and being replaced by more dynamic solutions through the use of more sophisticated lighting controls. We are seeing a shift from lighting design to designing lighting systems. To that end, are very excited to be partnering with Crestron to represent their wide breadth of Commercial Lighting Control Systems to better support the design of flexible, code compliant dynamic lighting systems!

Expanded Controls Specification and System Integration Services include:

  • Architectural and Commercial Lighting System Design, Specification and Integration Support
  • Developing Project Specific Documentation
  • Riser Diagrams, Sensor Layouts, Sequences of Operations, Etc.
  • System Commissioning and Functional Testing
  • Creative and Show Programming
  • Customer User Interfaces
  • End-user Training
  • Technical Support
